MARC is the Memory Assessment & Research Centre. Based at Moorgreen Hospital in Southampton, we run research trials for people with Alzheimer's disease.

If you or someone you know has Alzheimer's and are interested in getting involved in research, this website will help you find out about what it entails and the latest trials taking place at MARC.

Founded by Dr David Wilkinson in 1990, we are a major centre for anti-dementia drug trial research in Europe. The centre also screens for memory-related disorders and provides carer support and access to treatment. Most importantly, MARC is a place where you, as a patient, carer or relative, can get advice, treatment and support.

Our long-term commitment to research means we have one eye on the future but are just as concerned with helping you live day-to-day. We understand as a carer or relative, the condition affects you too. MARC is here to provide support and advice as we know what a huge impact this illness can have and we want to be there to help.
